This policy explains what personal data we collect when you request a quote, place an order, or browse the site, and how we use it to run the studio.

Who we are

Saffi 3D is a small after-hours 3D printing studio based in Malta. The data controller is the studio operator, reachable at hello@saffi3d.com.

What we collect

To deliver a print order we need: your name, an email address, an optional phone number, a delivery or pickup choice, and the print details you send (file, dimensions, personalization text). We also receive standard hosting logs. If you accept the analytics banner, Google Analytics 4 also receives basic page views, the route you came in on, and the checkout events our cart fires (add-to-cart, begin-checkout, purchase). Analytics events are pseudonymous: we do not pass your name, email, or order details to Google. If you decline, no analytics requests are sent from your browser.

Why we collect it

To produce, quote, deliver and follow up on your order, and to keep accounting records as required by Maltese tax law. Analytics tells us which pages and products are working for customers in aggregate.

How long we keep it

Order details and invoices are kept for the period required by law for tax records. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics defaults (currently 14 months) and is used only in aggregated form.

Who we share it with

Service providers strictly necessary to fulfil the order: payment providers (PayPal) for processing payments, mail providers (Resend) for order confirmation emails, hosting (the platform serving this site), our database (Supabase), and where relevant a delivery courier. Anonymised website analytics are processed by Google Analytics 4. We do not sell or rent personal data.

Cookies and analytics consent

The first time you land we show a banner asking whether to load Google Analytics. Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage and respected on every subsequent page. You can change your mind at any time:

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access, correction or deletion of your data, and lodge a complaint with the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC) in Malta. Email us first at hello@saffi3d.com and we will reply within a working week.
